Hypertension and Dyslipidemia:
The Latest Guidelines and Approaches in Medical Management of the Oncology Patient
The keynote presentation will be presented by Frank Sonnenberg, MD, FACP, FACMI. He has served as Professor of Medicine, Associate Professor of Medicine, and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since 1990, and has been Clinical Professor of Health Informatics at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical Group since 2003. Dr. Sonnenberg has been the Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator for numerous medical research studies, and has been widely published in many prominent professional medical journals on a variety of internal medicine and informatics topics.
At the completion of the program, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the latest guidelines and current approaches in the medical management of hypertension in oncology patients
- Discuss the latest guidelines and current approaches in the medical management of dyslipidemia in oncology patients
This educational program is designed for healthcare professionals caring for patients that are at risk for hypertension and/or dyslipidemia (physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists).
Continuing Nursing Education Credit
An application has been proposed for 1.5 contact hours.
This activity has been submitted to the Oncology Nursing Society for approval to award contact hours. ONS is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's COA.
This course has no associated registration fee. Reception and all course materials/handouts are provided free of charge.
